Notation

If you want to record your game here is how. Above is an illustration of a backgammon board with the points numbered 1-24. In this illustration the home tables are to the left. Moves are simply recorded by naming the number point that your checker is on followed by a forward slash and the number of the point your checker has landed on. 12/14. Doubles are recorded in much the same way as in 12/14(2) to indicate that you have moved two checkers. With a double if you moved all four checkers separately thenyou would record it as, 1/5, 9/13,14/18, 11/15. If when making your move you land on your opponents blot and make a hit then you would record that as 12/14*
